We're all aware of music's power to transport us to another place. But with 3D Audioscape – developed by Martyn Ware’s company Future Of Sound alongside fellow synth pop legend Vince Clarke of Depeche Mode, Yazoo, and Erasure fame – you can literally control sound in all kinds of three-dimensional parameters. From left to right, front to back, and over and under: think some kind of audio version of Avatar.
Sound scientists from both Ninja Tune and Warp Records super_collided on this groundbreaking installation in the Royal Albert Hall, one of London’s most iconic venues. A sonic encounter of the third kind driven by Plaid, The Bug (who brought out Daddy Freddy and Roll Deep's mighty Flowdan to put the lyrical cherry on top of his skening future dub riddims), DJ Food, Clark, King Cannibal & Mira Calix.
