Too suff: Oddisee at the Suff Studio in Berlin
Melbourne participant
Oddisee is featured on the debut EP from German producer
Suff Daddy who definitely stands out from the myriads of Dilla clones flooding Myspace with mediocre Donuts rip-offs.
Growing up in Kraftwerktown and introduced to the wonderful world we call hip hop by the Liks, Daddy finally caught the beatbug after he moved to Berlin five years ago, inspired by
Quasimoto and
Jaylib. Since then, he has been jamming with funky pianist
Jim Dunloop, has released a 45 on Cologne’s
Melting Pot Music and won
Look Records’ remix contest for Dilla’s favourite mic ripper
Ronnie Euro. His EP EFIL4FFUS is due out on September 5 on MPM and also features
Miles Bonny (INnatesounds Crew, Kansas), Maryland's
Kev Brown, and Swedish singstress
Kissey Asplund who has released a rock-solid album on London’s
R2 Records earlier this year. Cheers.
