Flying Lotus’ Los Angeles and Lars Bartkuhn’s The New Continent have been included in Scanner FM’s year-end list of the best albums released in 2008.

Also amongst the featured are Barcelona lecturer El Guincho who takes the Best National (i.e. Spanish) Album category with the sophomore release of his side project Coconot, Cosa Astral, class of ’08 Guillamino (who scores another Top 3 slot in the same category, and long-time Academy team member Emma Warren whose Steppas’ Delight comp on Soul Jazz has been named the ‘mejor recopilacion’ of the year.
