Life’s a riot with Jessica Hansell aka Coco Solid: this Red Bull Music Academy 2008 participant is a one girl revolution, writing comics, editing zines, exploding songs upon the world left, right and center. A NZ Maori and German-Samoan, she’s been keeping all parts of her gene pool busy ever since she first locked herself in the bedroom with a 4-track machine. Rapping and rolling over five self-produced albums so far there’s no slowing her down: from playing at SXSW to having her song Crime Fighters named ‘Best hip hop single 2007’ by NZ’s student radio network. Booty bass, electro rap, dubstep, r ’n’ b – it’s all in a night’s fun for her.

And everyone likes a nice Danish now and then, right?
