Portugal’s Markur and Rhodes have been firing off warning shots through both the open-minded techno world and London's bass music scene recently, with several releases for Living, Dissident and D.I.R.T.Y., as well as their weekly show on Rádio Oxigénio, Princípio da Incerteza. Thus, it comes as no surprise that the legendary Anthony ‘Shake’ Shakir has added double Photonz to his latest 12”: At The Bonnie Brook is now out on French label Astro Lab, featuring a remix from Academy studio teamster Todd Osborn along with the two Photonz versions.

It’s been a year since the last ten-hour marathon broadcast from the Palácio de Santa Catarina. Now, the Pirate Popular Soundclash will be back to Lisbon on June 12. Kicking off the yearly celebrations on the eve of Saint Anthony’s day, the Portuguese Legion of Red Bull Music Academy Radio will capture a boat on the river Tagus to send Radio Caroline-style shockwaves all over the city: from funk to fado, dubstep to kuduro.
