Class of '07 Juan Manuel Torreblanca drops a set of songs from the edge of Torreblanca world, with a five piece band bringing his off-kilter visions to life. With a palette of guitar, sax, acordian, keys and drums, Juan crafts four skewed pop melodramas on his EP Defensas. Honing the songs around Mexico City's many venues over the last couple of years, the band caught a break at León Polar's El Artico Studios, and the whole EP was recorded in only fours days.

Today is the day for a lecture from a true innovator in his field: Toy Selectah, at once a DJ, remix artist, hip hop crate digger and champion of Latin American rave rhythms. In his lecture at the Red Bull Music Academy London, Antonio Hernandez tracked his musical lineage, through the hip hop world of Control Machete, his Mexico-based former band, into his current world of fused genres and nuanced remix work.
