Best known for releases under his Godson moniker and the 3 Chairs collaborations alongside Theo Parrish and Kenny Dixon Jr, he also ran the Vibes music store, which proved a lifeline for music lovers all over Detroit.

Mark Ronson's production discography might easily be startling attached to a figure twice his age: since his recording debut in the early '90s, he's waved his pop-cred wand over Amy Winehouse, Lily Allen and Daniel Merriweather, while kick-starting the careers of rappers like Wale or Rhymefest on his own Allido imprint, consistently retaining creative control over both his producer and highly sought-after DJ enterprises. It would be enough that he was even involved in such an array of musical outputs; that he has been at the helm and has executed his endeavors with such originality and flair makes his achievements all the more impressive.
