After putting dope on some Jazz Fudge wax as part of the transnational rap group Dark Circle in 2003 and accumulating even more knowledge as a participant of the 2005 Academy in Seattle, Hamburg, ‘Schland-based DJ/producer Hysteria has now founded his own indie rap forge WE AINT MUSIC together with long-time associate Block Barley, who’s also responsible for the label’s 01. More EP than regular 12’’, Michigan Nights features not only the title cut boasting some heartfelt lines by Detroit’s latest consensus rhymeslinger Guilty Simpson, and – in good ol’ hip hop fashion – proper remix and instrumental, but no less than five bonus cuts along the same adventurous lines of gritty drum loops and synthed-up necksnappers. Michigan Nights is strictly limited to 500 copies and comes with a handmade silkscreen packaging for all of those who still believe that a zip folder just doesn’t feel the same… Listen to the Guilty joint below, and pre-order your copy by dropping an email to info@weaintmusic.com.
