Mulatu Astatke
VTech and the good folks at Mochilla are launching a concert series called Timeless with a somewhat ArRange-like concept and a fabulous line-up at The Harriet and Charles Luckman Fine Arts Complex in Los Angeles this Sunday. The first artist to take the stage is Toronto lecturer Mulatu Astatke, who’ll play with a 15-piece orchestra and DJ support by Cut Chemist, Quantic and Egon. In the meantime, here’s the first piece off of Mulatu’s album with the Heliocentrics, coming forth on Strut. Enjoy!
