Montreal’s Poirier made it on the cover of renowned Exclaim! magazine, on the strength of his new double-album on Ninja Tune, Running High, which is out in Canada now. While CD1 consists of the three EPs worth of electrified boom riddims he’s released throughout the past couple of months – Soca Soundsystem, Low Ceiling, and Run The Riddim – the second disc features deejay versions as well as remixes from like-minded 21st century soundboys such as Douster, Stereotyp, and Sticky.
