RBMA Session Paris - From Mono to Disco
featuring Dominique Blanc Francard, Hubert Blanc Francard aka BoomBass & Canblaster
To pave the way for the Red Bull Music Academy 2012 in New York we are touching down in selected spots worldwide to give you a taste what a day at the Academy actually feels like. Have all your questions about the Academy and the application process answered, learn a thing or two and have some fun along the way.
Your guest lecturers at Café Carmen will be Dominique and Hubert Blanc Francard, two of France' most famous sound engineers and producers. Their collaborations with artists like T.Rex, David Bowie and Serge Gainsbourg, did mark a good part of French sound history. From Chateau d'Herouville to their current studio covering 30 years of “production a la française”. Hosted by Patrick Thevenin, they will share history, hints and know-how as well as insights on their projects; past, present & future, from mono to disco.
Additionally, Canblaster, RBMA class of 2011, will provide useful tips and tales for interested candidates.
