Red Bull Music Academy Session Zaragoza presents Morgan Geist
To pave the way for the next Academy in New York we are touching down in selected spots worldwide to give you an idea what a day at RBMA actually feels like, get your questions about the Academy and its application process answered, and have some fun along the way. Your host for today is Academy lecturer Morgan Geist, who runs the Environ label, which raised the bar for releasing powerful statements, flirting with the styles of disco, boogie and soul, while proving am elusive temptress to all three. As one half of Metro Area, Morgan fused the sounds of bygone disco and boogie with the space and atmospheres of techno and house to create the breakthrough Metro Area album an EPs, while racking up a bounty of remixes for the likes of Hugh Masekela, Telex and lots more. Club night will start at 12pm at the Oasis Club Teatro.
