Glasgow's prodigal son Rustie has been creating some of the most mind-boggling, genre straddling, electronic music of recent years, marrying the energy of hyphy and hip hop with the low slung bass of dubstep while straddling the stuttering swagger of electronics and techno with ease. Madrid Academy alumna Nightwave on the other hand has experiences in alternative medicine, as a body double for Penelope Cruz, as a motion capture actor in the DJ Hero video game franchise, in quantum mechanics philosophy and still somehow finds the time to release excellent records. Her unpredictable DJ sets include a forward-thinking combination of juke, UK bass, grime and '80s funk. Both are supported by local hood regulator Kackmusikk.
