There’s no reason that because you use a computer it has to sound very digital or small.

I made both these albums on Acid. It’s like a demo program for kids.

I got into really horrendous progressive rock. I was well into Yes and I had a big mullet.

Here were people who weren’t sampling James Brown, they were sampling Czech prog rock records and weird free jazz.

It’s either really interesting production or really good melodies that is going to differentiate your music from everybody else.
