From humble beginnings in the Canadian backwaters, Dan Snaith aka Caribou shook off a teenage love of prog rock to get deep and spiritual with Albert Ayler, John Coltrane and the weirder side of music. A chance meeting with Kieran Hebden of Four Tet at a countryside festival in England was all it took for the world to be exposed to his beautiful brand of music. He tells us how you don't need a fancy set-up to make fantastic electronic music, just a crappy Radio Shack microphone, some Yamaha kids keyboards and a whole lot of determination.
