Da Lata, London, UK
Originally, Patrick Forge wanted to be a musician. He gave up his dreams and started DJing, which back in the early '80s was as glamorous as mud. Then came a stint on Kiss FM - sealed with the sale of a rare groove classic to owner Gordon Mac - quickly followed by acid house and, more importantly for him, acid jazz. Ten years on, the original dream came true: He formed Da Lata and in 2000, released the acclaimed Songs From The Tin.
