Μετά απο back 2 back sessions στη Θεσσαλονίκη, το Athens Video Art Festival και την παραλία, το τέταρτο κατα σειρά ROTATION έρχεται αυτή την Πέμπτη στον πεζόδρομο της οδού Μαυροκορδάτου! Μαζί μας και για πρώτη φορά στην Αθήνα ο ένας και μοναδικός Jon K απο το Manchester! Γνωστός απο τη θητεία του στο θρυλικό δισκάδικο Fat City και τα τελευταία χρόνια ως resident του καλύτερου party στο Manchester, του Hoya:Hoya, O Jon θεωρείται ο DJ των DJs στο Manchester. Tα DJ sets του είναι δυναμικά sessions όπου όλα μπορούν να συμβούν στην ίδια παλέτα: Aπο Hip Hop, Reggae και Bass, μέχρι House, Detroit Techno, New Wave και Λένα Πλάτωνος! ROTATION: “A new night comprising a rotating list of residents dedicated to bringing the best in underground sounds to Athens with love; made by and for this city’s party people” Over the course of the last 2 seasons ROTATION has taken place across bars, clubs, beaches, and taken its first road trip, and now for the first time is taking over a stage at the annual European Music Day celebration. To mark the occasion this is the very first time that the ROTATION crew have invited a very special guest to join the party, in the shape of Manchester’s Jon K, a DJ best known for his involvement with two of the city’s most seminal club nights Eyes Down, which he co-hosted with Kelvin Brown, and Hoya Hoya at which he is a current resident alongside Illum Sphere (Ninja Tune), Johnny Dub, Éclair Fifi (Lucky Me) & Chunky MC (Swamp 81). Jon K also manned the desk at the hugely influential Fat City record shop for many a year and is known as the go-to-guy in Manchester for his musical knowledge across a breathtaking expanse of styles. In recent years he has been described as ‘Your favourite DJ’s favourite DJ’ by Fact Magazine in London and has also turned in mixes for the likes of Fabric and RBMA. This will be Jon’s debut appearance on Greek shores so is one to definitely not miss!
