Daniele Baldelli is a true DJ icon. Italy's equivalent to pioneering New York disco gods Francis Grasso, David Mancuso, and Nicky Siano, he went from selecting rock, funk and soul 45s in '69 on the Adriatic coast, to playing soul, reggae and muscular disco at seminal club Baia Degli Angeli deep in the heart of Cattolica club land. Then came the legendary spot Cosmic, an era of hedonism that began in '79, where he would be simultaneously spinning and triggering drum machines and samplers, as water fountains bubbled frenetically behind him playing samba with Kraftwerk, Depeche Mode on 33 rpm mixed into African rhythms - all on '70s turntable technology. Get up close and personal with a genius of the highest order.
