DJ Radar is probably best known for his awe-inspiring cuts and boundary breaking turntablism records. On collaborations such as Private Parts alongside DJ Z-Trip (from the era-defining Return Of The DJ Pt.2) through to his work on the Deep Concentration series, he has consistently pushed the limits of traditional turntable music, incorporating sounds, samples and influences that aren't necessarily thought of as staple hip hop sources. No wonder he’s found favour and collaboration with open-minded kindred spirits such as Mario Caldato Jr and Money Mark. His recent work has seen a leap into a new dimension - combining turntables with a live orchestra, in the hope of changing the age-old stigma that turntablism is limited to all that 'wikki-wikki stuff', and creating a written, musical language for scratch notation. Get ready for some mindbending itchy scratch techniques, mixed up with enough neoclassical know-how to tickle your trills and dozy-do your doo-wits.
