Earl Gateshead

Earl Gateshead is a reggae institution in London. A long time activist in the fine tradition of the UK scene and it's world-respected soundsystems, he has spun dusty Jamaican 7"s for over 20 years and founded what must be one of the longest residencies in London at the Dive Bar, where he has DJed weekly for 18 years. These days he can be found in London's finest underground music club Plastic People, as he always had a hand in groundbreaking London clubs, having held residencies alongside Bob Jones, and hosting Far East with Gilles Peterson. Earl is currently compiling reggae records for the Fuego label and preparing for a world tour as a support act for Big Youth.
