Although Jamie 'J' Majik is quite a young fellow, he stands as one of the elders of the worldwide drum 'n' bass scene. Hanging around at the infamous Blackmarket record store in the early '90s certainly helped his fledgling career, as Jamie got his hands on as many white labels as possible. All part of an ongoing quest for a genre that, at the time, barely had space in the racks of your average local record spot. In 1994 Jamie debuted on Goldie's Metalheadz label with the instant classic Your Sound. After some dodgy experiences with major labels he started his own label, Infrared, as an experimental outlet for his productions.
