Jono Podmore
Kumo, Cologne, Germany
Karate-obsessed producer and sound engineer, Jono Podmore aka Kumo, studied electronic music at Middlesex University. There, he started to compose for TV and theatre. Podmore moved to Japan in 1986 where he worked as an engineer, producer and string arranger. He has worked with artists from Jamiroquai and The Shamen, to Republica, set up labels Autoi and Psychomat, and worked with Can's Irmin Schmidt on an operatic version of Mervyn Peake's Gormenghast.
