Mala is one half of Digital Mystikz: South London’s finest purveyors of meditational bass weight. Pioneers of the thriving dubstep scene, producers & DJs as well as label owners and promoters, they unleash a dense concentration of dubwise good vibrations that would make Jah Shaka and Aba Shanti equally proud. The Mystikz’ own label DMZ is a flagship for the movement, and the London institution Soul Jazz is fond of them too, as is Aphex Twin’s Rephlex label. Their self-titled label night in deepest Brixton is where spiritual explorers go for the grittiest grime aftermath, where all drops come spiked with bouncing natty dreads and rude MCs. You can’t stop the Malitia!

mala mentions that it was a combination of right time, place and people, which is a sufi phrase (see any work by Idries shah for reference), however the right materials (i.e pc, fwd, soundsystems, dubs etc) can be added to this. Big up mala for not continually re-releasing everything just because all of a sudden there is a huge demand for this music.
